A Customer Focused Look at Technology and Human Expertise

Marie and Nadine attended the 2026 Connective Conference in October, where technology and human expertise were key themes. For our customers, that raises a useful question: where does personal support fit as technology evolves?

Our focus this November is on the part that matters to you: room to ask questions, talk through information and explain what you need from a conversation with your broker.

The conference brought two themes together:

New technology and human expertise.

Its program included sessions on AI and The Humanware Advantage. We’re using those themes as a starting point for a customer conversation, not a promise about new tools or loan outcomes.

What Matters in Your Experience

1. Space to Ask Questions

If a term, message or explanation leaves you unsure, bring that question to the conversation. You don’t need to know all the terminology before getting in touch.

You might start with: “Can you explain that in plain English?” or “What does that mean for my situation?”

Useful questions to bring include:

·       What does this term mean?

·       Can we talk through this information?

·       What information do you need from me?

·       What happens next?

·       Who can I contact if I get stuck?

·       Can someone talk me through this digital step?

Choose the questions that matter to you. There’s no need to have everything worked out before you ask.

2. A Conversation About Your Needs

The human expertise theme is a useful reminder to make room for your questions and preferences, not just the information on a screen.

Tell us what you’re trying to understand and which part feels unclear. That gives our conversation a practical starting point.

3. Support When Technology Feels Unfamiliar

AI was on the conference agenda, but you don’t need to become a technology expert to ask your broker a question.

If you’re unsure about an online step or something you’ve read, ask to talk it through rather than feeling you need to work it out alone.

Start with Your Question

For us, the customer conversation is the useful place to bring technology and human expertise together.

What would you like explained more clearly? What would make your next conversation with a broker easier?

You’re welcome to get in touch with a question, even if you’re not sure where to start.
